The Interior Architect makes designs with the aim of bringing new and economical solutions to the organization of space. As a requirement of his profession, he researches human-equipment-space problems with the concern of present and future by considering basic data beyond the usual forms and dimensions. It uses developments in material and technology in space and equipment designs.

In addition to approaching the subject in a dimension that evaluates the volume and surfaces of the spaces in a building, the interior architect should also be knowledgeable in the areas of space comfort such as building systems, physical environment control, lighting, ergonomics, heating. From this point of view, shaping and designing defined spaces, which emphasize the quality of life and comfort of the individuals using the space, with defined functions, for the user, is one of the main purposes of the profession.
